KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 5): Berjaya Land Bhd (BLand) held the grand opening of The Tropika Bukit Jalil's commercial component (The Tropika Bukit Jalil Commercial) last Friday (Dec 2). The Tropika Bukit Jalil is a 6.5-acre (2.63-hectare) freehold mixed-use development located between the Bukit Jalil Golf and Country Resort and the Bukit Jalil Recreational Park.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was officiated by Syed Ali , BLand CEO Datuk Abdul Rahim Mohd Zin and executive director Tan Tee Ming, Trendcell Sdn Bhd CEO Adelene Foo, Osso Bone Care founder Calvin Shun, Anytime Fitness director Jayagobi Shanmugam, and Oomph Café & Bar founder Vince Chow.

The Tropika Bukit Jalil Commercial, which is being leased, comprises nine units of double-storey shop lots and 11 single-storey retail units.  

The list of tenants includes Jaya Grocer as the anchor, and health and fitness tenants such as Watson, Caring, Osso Bone Care, One Doc x Hair Doc, Kimiso Beauty and Anytime Fitness.

According to the statement, Osso Bone Care has occupied three lots on the first floor, and is offering digital X-ray services at its all-in-one centre. Meanwhile, Anytime Fitness has taken up six lots for its 24-hour fitness centre.

The development will also have food and beverage outlets and eateries such as Starbucks, Baskin-Robbins, La Juiceria Superfoods, Chicken Claypot House, Mr Chizu, Happy Lemon, and Oomph Cafe & Bar.

“With the current tenant mix and diverse offerings for the Bukit Jalil community, I am confident that The Tropika Bukit Jalil Commercial will be the next hangout spot and an ideal place to live, work and play," said BLand's Tan.

BLand's Abdul Rahim added that “Bukit Jalil is one of the few locations in Kuala Lumpur where property prices have been holding up well, and we are confident The Tropika Bukit Jalil will deliver exceptional value for our buyers”.
